Hey there! I'm Mel, and am looking for friends whom I can exchange motivation and support with. I'm typically a very shy person in real life, and have become even more so with the weight I've put on; not exactly a winning combination for a social, university life. I've signed up for a gym membership, threw out most of my junk food (still unpacking and cleaning up my dorm) and am now ready to be on my way to taking charge of life.

Nice to meet you all. :)

Getting rid of snack foods is a good move....they are my biggest problem too. But i do miss them...so i find that allowing myself a low calorie snack treat each day helps to take my mind off snacking and makes me feel like i have not missed out. Weight watchers desserts in supermarket help me....still losing weight even tho i have one each day as a treat. Last year i lost 22pounds/10kilos in 4 months...but then got lazy again. So back now trying again. Good luck to you too
