.............same here!0 -
Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil
1 red and 1 orange pepper, deseeded and roughly chopped
1 large sweet potato (about 300g) peeled and cut into rough 2.5cm chunks
1 large courgette, trimmed, halved lengthways and cut into 1cm slices
125g cherry tomatoes, halved
125g dried penne pasta
60 g Philadelphia Light with Garlic & Herbs
3 tbsp semi-skimmed milk fresh basil leaves, to garnish
Instructions Preheat the oven to 220°C, Gas Mark 7. Toss the olive oil, peppers, sweet potato and courgette in a large roasting tin and season with freshly ground black pepper. Roast for 20-25 minutes, until the vegetables are tender and lightly browned. Then add the tomatoes and cook for another 5 minutes. While the vegetables are cooking, get some water boiling, then cook the pasta for 10-12 minutes until just tender. Drain in a colander, then return to the pan and stir in Philadelphia and milk until the Philly melts and makes a creamy sauce. Toss with the roasted vegetables. Tip into a large, warmed serving dish and garnish with fresh0 -

Here's one I looooove having soo much. Since I can't have my parent's curries because they make me gain 50lbs from just looking at it lool here's my own recipe which is way too easy but tastes scrummy
I'm vegan so I tend to have this with tofu or vegan friendly meat free pieces etc
Ok so you get your fish/meat sub/ or even just have it with veg only,
For the flavored rice:
60g rice (brown or white)
1 spring onion
1 vegetable stock cube
For the curry:
Fry light oil spray or even maybe like 1tsp of olive oil
1tsp of curry powder of your choice,
1/2 tsp of saffron
1tsp of garam masala
Half an onion
Half a can of chopped tomatoes
Any veg you want (I personally like to bulk up my food with tons of veg using broccoli, cauliflower, courgettes and carrots)
Ok so start with the rice boil some water in a pan, put in the stock cube, chop up the spring onion and then add rice and spring onion to the pan, make sure you keep checking on it from time to time.
As for the curry, boil the broccoli, carrots and cauliflower until soft. Spray some oil and when hot enough add half the onion and stir until see through/brown.
Then add the boiled veg and spices. Stir till everything is coated then add the chopped tomatoes. Turn the heat down for maybe like 5 min, I don't go by time I go by looks :P.
And then your done. YUMMY! x30 -
You're like me then. Pescatarian.
I do eat Quorn, and lots of it, as I have a meat eating hubby0 -
If you eat fish then technically you're a Pescatarian. Vegetarians don't eat animals, full stop
Omnivore - eats anything
Awkward sod - doesn't eat meat....well maybe some chicken....and a bit of fish.....might stretch to bacon
Pescatarian - doesn't eat animals with fur or feathers
Lacto-ovo-vegetarian - doesn't eat animals, eats dairy and eggs.
Lacto-vegetarian - doesn't eat animals or egg, eats dairy
Ovo-vegetarian - doesn't eat animals or dairy, eats eggs
Vegan - doesn't eat animals or anything produced by animals (eggs, dairy products, honey, shellac etc)
Fruitarian - doesn't eat animals or anything produced by animals or anything plant-based unless the plant product is naturally produced to be consumed (i.e. fruit and nuts ok, root-veg which involves pulling up and 'killing' the plant, not ok).
Urghhh....it's a minefield
For the record, I'm ovo-vegetarian - and cook from scratch. Lots of curry, stews, soups, salads, may or may not use quorn, often use tofu (make my own), sometimes uses tempeh (it's hard to get hold of in the UK :grumble: ) :happy:0 -

"Fish are friends not food"0 -
Guess I was wrong about this community. No need to be nasty, I wasn't aware of this. No need to insult some one0
-
Why would I pick up a dictionary to learn to spell something I'm not aware of0

fish eaters! call yourself vegetarian.... Fishes have faces too
AND - fishhave Mommies, too!

check out reciepes with quorn, tofu, lentis, beans i mean its pretty much endless. Me being indian myself have been brought up as a veggie & my mum has been making indian veggie food for over 25 years!!
Look up some indian reciepes0 -
i hope you are all happy - i have sent a message to the OP to say that i thought this was all a bit harsh and that we were not all this judgemental - she said that she did not feel that she wanted to be part of this community anymore
She is a new person to this webiste looking for firends and support for her journey - not abuse!
It makes me feel ashamed!!!0 -
if it has a face, I don't eat it. As for meat substitutes, I occasionaly (once every blue moon or so) have a Morningstar Farms original sausage patty but not very often.
My diary is open to friends
I do eat eggs, cheese, milk etc so not a vegan0 -
Rough crowd! Wow!0
-
As far as I can see only one person was abusive. Everyone else was either talking about their own preferences or educating the girl on the different types of preferential eaters i.e. if you eat things with a face you're not actually veggie but you are... whatever the name of it was (memory of a seive here lol). Edit: the word I was looking for was Pescatarian0
