Hello Brits, (calling us Brits sounds sooo american)

I need to buy a HRM & a new set of scales...I don't have tonnes of money but I also don't want to buy something rubbish, can you recommend something good for me?

Argos seems pretty reasonable for both - there are reviews / people here who use Polar HRM's so you'd be able to get feedback on the model you are looking at. The ones with the chest straps are more competitive. Also I wouldn't discount eBay for a cheap 2nd hand or unused one.

Scales wise you could always use boots or somewhere like that 70p does your weight, bmi and bodyfat % although this won't be 100% accurage it's not bad.

For heart rate monitor - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330670342630&clk_rvr_id=316291445752

For scales, any cheap electronic ones will do. Body fat monitors are waste of time. They judge body composition based on water, which varies massively. When I was sub 10% body fat and in comp shape it said I was at 20% BF. Hmmm....

I've just bought a new electronic scale where you just step on it from JTF for £9.99 if that helps at all. Seems pretty good and has a nice big display.
