i see posts all the time about exercising tips, but is there anyone out there who hasnt drastically changed their exercise regime? anyone who has mostly just changed their diet?

i know, i know, its my 'fitness' pal, and im trying, but so far, i havent been able to find any exercise to stick too, so for me, its mostly just about changing my diet. (im always impressed with people who do loads of exercise on here though!)

just trying to find some people out there who are doing the same? especially if theyre here in the uk (hard to follow american diets- different food) could sometimes do with some food tips or good UK recipes?

and if we have vaguely similar stats to, that would be amazing! feel free to add me either way though!
thankyou! :D

Feel free to add me I'm in the UK and I'm sort of ashamed to admit I don't do any conventional exercise.

It just won't fit into my life !
I leave for work at 6.30am and often don't get home till 8-9pm and back up again at 5.30 the next day. Weekends are for frantic housework and flying .. doesn't really leave me much time for hitting a gym !

So all my weight loss has to come through my diet .. its very slow going but I am determined I will get there :-)
  • Hi

As much as I am trying to do more exercise to get fit as well I see this as a bonus so try and use the app for primarily calorie counting. As much as I am trying to improve my diet by adding more fruit etc I do tend to stick a lot to foods that have come in boxes etc so have labels that I can scan and calculate the calories, fat content etc.

I feel ya! Time is precious. Do you have a lunch break? I eat lunch at my desk. Then, clock out for lunch to walk around the building. Sometimes I do not make it around the building but I did move! It is better than nothing.

Drs. are saying just sitting around is just as bad as smoking.

I think that diet is the most important part anyway. I have been exercising lately but it's more to help speed things along (and get into better shape). I lost forty pounds once on diet alone as my job was much more demanding then. I think you would be able to do it if you stick to it. Unfortunately, I live in America and wouldn't know much about your foods probably. Good luck to you though!

One thing that does seem to make a difference to me at least is what I eat and when.
I seem to do better if I don't eat carbs in the evenings and also eat more of my calories earlier in the day.

So I have been trying to have my carbs for breakfast, protein based lunch to try and keep me full until I get home ,,, and then something light like soup or salad in the evening as its often late when I get in so I dont get any chance to use up carbs in the evenings and they all seem to stick to my posterior !

I haven't done so well with it this week as I have been all over the place at work and have a stinking cold but when I do I feel better and less lumpy somehow :-)
