I've had a shock. I may have had a minor stroke. Blood pressure was 215/114. DANGER ZONE. Being on a ward in hospital with others in the same situation has given me a kick up the bum. And it's wrong to get so far down the line before I realised this.Always thinking it wouldn't happen to me.

I can turn this around with the previous knowledge from this site thank goodness. Anybody in the same (or not) boat want to team up please do so to look on the possitive side and the way forward.

So, no more alcohol for me and healthy eating only. I was sick of listening to everybody in the hospital comparing medication and ailments. A major contribution is self inflicted I'm afraid.

I've a choice 'do or die'. What a wake up call.

Just wanted to wish you luck and say good for you for taking responsibility for both your current situation and for changing that situation.

That's a heck of a wake up call. Glad you are still here to do something about it. You will be back in that wetsuit before you know it!:flowerforyou:

Good for you for deciding to do something about it. I've got a long way to myself, but I have a long line of diabetes and high blood pressure behind me genetically. They are, in part, the reason I am here. I would make the run with you if you'd like to add me. :)

I'm glad you listened to the wake-up call. Too many people don't, and just continue with the same self destructive behavior. Good for you, and good luck.
