I eat every 3 hours starting at 6:30am. Yesterday I was hungry before the time I have scheduled to eat. (my food journal is open to view) One of the ladies at work said to add more protein to my snacks. Ok I thought, should not be hard. Whatever . . . I am having a hard time adding protein. Any suggestions? Recipes? I need snack ideas bad.

Thanks

Munching on lean protein such as chicken breast, salmon (on salad, toast, etc.) throughout the day should work. Nuts, such as walnuts and almonds work too. Olive oil on your salad too

This was recent advice I got from my trainer. I also drink protein shakes pre- and post-work out. I used to do it only after, but she recommended before and after, and perhaps as a snack after dinner. She suggested 0.5 to 0.75 grams of protein per pound of weight. So with my current weight of 167, I should be getting between 83.5 and 125 grams of protein daily to build lean muscle.

    Hope this helps.

Low fat cheese, tuna, salmon, turkey, hard boiled eggs, I like the jillian michaels whey protein powder shakes (I just use water to make them), or muscle milk light vanilla is good too, give you loads of protein without gobs of calories.....just the first few I can think of off the top of my head...there is a cookie recipe on here for a chocolate chip protein cookie too, just search "protein cocolate chip cookie" and it pops up :) and yes, i intentionally mispelled it cause it was mispelled when posted :)
