calorie counting with oatmeal

if i take 1/4 cut of steel cut oats (150 cal) it comes out to equal about 1/2 cup cooked steel cut oats. do i still count that as 150 cal? or does it become 300 cal because now i am eating 1/2 cup of cooked oats??? help!!

    Count the dry amount. The label should say 1/4 cup dry, but I eat oats every morning and happen to know by heart that 1/4 cup steel-cut oats = 150 cals ;)
