New and just introducing myself

I am 39 years old and live in Texas. I have always been overweight. I do not know what it is to be thin or chucky for that matter. I have found happiness in my life and now I am trying to find happiness in myself. I love myself don’t get me wrong. I just don’t like the body that I am in or the way I feel in it. I am engaged to a wonderful man, we will be married this Oct. You can say that I have started this journey to look decent for that. Yes I have a goal I want to reach by then, but I also have one that will extend past that. I have a lot of weight to lose. I have support on sides and I know with the help of MFP and the wonderful people in my life I will succeed in my goal!

    Hi, Lisa. I don't really follow a meal plan, but I try and eat all whole, minimally processed foods, lots of proteins, low carbs, low fat, low sugar. Feel free to friend me and check out my diary.... just IGNORE valentine's day!!!:laugh: Good luck.

    Hi, my name is Rita. I am a mother of three beautiful and very active children. I have been with my husband for 15 years and he is reasonably active. I never had trouble with my weight until going through a high risk pregnancy with my oldest son. Since then I have struggled with my weight. I have never joined a site like this or even thought of counting my food intake. I have done Zumba classes for the last year with no weight loss. Just looking for support to stay within my calorie guidelines and help me to get those carbs out of my diet. Potatoes and cheese are my biggest downfall and craving! I have a LONG road ahead of me.
