A Magic Cure?

What if someone told you that there was a magic cure for weight gain? What if there was a magic wand that you could wave that would make you thin for the rest of your life without exercising or eating healthily ever again? The ONLY thing it would do would make you have your ideal physique, but you could eat whatever you wanted and veg out on the couch and nothing would change.
Would you do it? Why or why not?

Of course! Doesn't mean I'd just stop eating healthy and exercising altogether, but it would take the pressure off so I'd go for it!0

HAHA! that's great... i used to wish there was a magic ice cream that would do the same thing... so YES! I would do it but also continue to exercise because nothing else gets your body going like that!0

I didn't think of that option.. but I don't know that I'd be motivated enough to stick to my healthy lifestyle... hmmm...0 -
I would love to have a magic cure but I like the way I feel with eating clean food and I actually am enjoying to get out and exercise. I would just like to get where I want to be right now and not have it take forever. I am not the most patient person in the world.0

I'm shocked no one has given a definitive "no." I guess I just don't approach weight loss with the philosophy of what I can't eat but rather with the philosophy of all the foods that I CAN eat (and never really ate before). I also wouldn't want to give up the increased energy, positivity, clear skin, healthy hair and nails, adrenaline rush from working out, good sleep, etc etc...
But like someone else said, you could take the magic cure and still do all those things and reap all those other benefits...
However, I just don't trust that I would still do all those things, but even still there is one thing that I wouldn't have if I used a magic cure. One thing I would never ever give up is the incredible sense of accomplishment I have.
I don't think I'd have this wonderful increased confidence if the body of my dreams had come easily.0 -
Heck yes! Although I would still work out because I love how I feel afterwards0

No I wouldn't.
Fitness is not only a physical manifestation, but also a mental one. By choosing a path of healthful living, I have learned a lot: Accountability. Self Confidence. Determination. How to push my own limits. It's knowing what I can mentally and physically overcome. I've discovered a love of cooking, of new foods. These are worth more to me than just fitting into a size <insert ideal size> pair of jeans.
I have learned that the most meaningful things in my life have been acquired through hardship and determination. And because of this, I have learned to be that much more grateful for it. Taking a magic pill or whatever, would make me less grateful for my slim figure simply because it came to me so easily.0
