Always over on protein

I am new at MFP, just started tracking 10 days ago. I am always under my calorie limit, but always over on protein, sugar and under on carbs. I don't quite understand. Oatmeal in the morning, a plain yogurt and two slices of deli turkey or chicken puts me over the protein limit. Did anyone else notice this? Since my sugar comes from fruits (no more than 2 a day) and yogurt, I don't worry about the sugar too much, but puzzled about the protein. What are you supposed to eat?
