Is it just me?!

Hi Everyone!
I signed up just the other day and have found that this site is BY FAR the easiest to manage, lol. Its simple and straight forward, just the way it should be. Counting calories is hard enough without having to figure out some confusing weight tracking site.
I have put off watching what I eat for so long because its a LOT of work! I wish the mental energy expelled was enough to make the weight fall off, lol. Geez!
Is it just me.......the more I "think" about what I eat, the more I WANT to eat! I feel like a little kid being told "NO!". It makes me want to sneak a cookie or 10, while mom and dad aren't lookin', lol.
This is going to take some SERIOUS self discipline BUT, when I really think about it......what have I got to lose? Well.....weight!, a poor self-image!, negative attitude!, and old, ugly clothes!! Sounds good to me!
Best of luck everybody! We can do this!

I agree...the more time I spend thinking about food, the more food I want.
We were just having this debate on another site regarding the frequency and number of meals we should consume daily! I know I would die trying to figure out how to split 1200 calories (my allotment) into 5-6 meals/snacks. That's like 2 bites per meal! Hoping to learn from the masters here!

Roxy- Initially, if you are making big changes in what you are eating, your body may protest by giving you cravings. If you lower consumption of starch and sugar, it will demand a "fix" so to speak, and make you crave that which you need to not eat or eat less of.
If you stick with your plan, the constant hungries should ease up. Also learn about foods that are more filling than fattening; high in fiber for example, as eating them will make you feel fuller. Water is your friend also.
Good luck0 -
I've only been here a couple of days but I prefer this one over other calorie count websites I've tried. I always do so well the first couple of months and then fall off the wagon and gain all of the weight back. This time, I'm DETERMINED to lose the weight and keep it off. I will wear a bikini this summer!0

HAHA I agree the more I think about food, the more it makes me hungry. I hate to even watch the food network on tv, anymore, although it's one of my favorite channels cause seeing the food just makes me crazy
I recently quit smoking, and the same thing... I'll be doing good, no cravings, then see a commercial on tv to promote quitting smoking and it makes me think about smoking which triggers cravings!! :smokin: ARGH!!
my best advice is to stay away from the tv all together on your "weak" days and try your best to only think of food when you feel hungry or while grocery shopping :flowerforyou:0 -
