Looking for some like minded people who want someone to help motivate them and do the same for me. I'm a female, 26 years old, 5'3 and weighed in at about 150 last time I checked. I'm kind of scared of the scale; we don't always see eye to eye. My goal is to lose about 25 pounds. I want to feel healthier and more confident in myself. And I want to rock a bikini this summer! Well, I'll rephrase: I want to rock a bikini and LOOK rockin' in it this summer! :)
I've been with my fitness pal on and off for years, but this time I'm more serious than ever. I've never been this weight in my life and I don't like the way I feel. I've never participated in posts or groups or friends on here before, but I think it would really help. I need people that I have to answer to and who will help keep me and my goals on track. Don't be afraid to be nosy and ask about my exercising and/or eating habits often! :) I will be more than happy to help motivate you too; we all have the same goal and it always helps to have someone there have your back.

i feel like i could really use some support as well,it's hard for me to do this on my own and people around me don't seem to understand what i'm going through.and i also want to be able to show up on the beach feeling good about myself and looking good in a bikini.

Feel free to add me... I've also fallen off this wagon before, I think because I didn't have any friends on here.

I'm a little older than you (37), but in a bit of the same boat. Currently I am 5'6", 155 lbs and have never weighed this much before either. I've got a family history of morbid obesity on my mom's side of the family so I've always watched my weight, but managed it mainly with exercise and sports, not diet... I could kind of eat what I wanted, and man do I love food (and beer).

I work a ton, so the exercise piece isn't always as intense or frequent as it should be and eating all the same stuff isn't cutting it anymore. I'm looking to turn things around before I hit 160 lbs and before I'm forced to buy a whole new wardrobe of work pants. I wouldn't mind looking good in shorts this summer either -- I realized last summer that I had totally stopped wearing them and only wore capris anymore. My knees want to see the sun!!

Peer pressure (the good kind) is very motivating to me, so I'd be happy to have you as a friend on here so that we can motivate each other. I definitely need someone to answer to as well!

    Good luck!
