Weight plateau?

I'm not doing this get fit & lose weight thing quickly. I've been at this thing for nearly a year, and have thus far lost 16kg from my original 127kg.

At the start of this year, I started using MyFitnessPal to really start monitoring what I was eating. I lost 3 kg in January, but found sticking to the1.5lb a week setting just too hard - I was forever hungry and was cranky & tired. I've now set my goal at 1 lb a week, (which is 1870 calories for me) and to exercise 3 times a week.

I find this perfectly managable even on days I don't exercise, usually being about 100 calories below goal, but on days I do exercise, I come in between 600 and 900 calories below goal.

But I have not lost any weight for the last month, despite doing more exercise than I have ever done before. I am still 20 kilos over what I would consider a good weight for me (and if weight watchers is right, I am still 25-30kg over my "ideal" weight). I have certainly increased my cardio fitness in the last month (the heartbreak hill is now just a pain-in-the-rear hill), but have *gained* half a kilo.

This is very depressing. I can't see how I can increase the exercise any, nor can I see how I can decrease my food intake (and its good food, I rarely ever go over my recommended fat or sugar intake). Reverting to my timtam munching, couch potato ways is becoming more and more tempting.

Help?

There are times our weight plateaus, it's part of the process. Believe me I know how frustrating it is. And to steal a quote, "if you keep doing what you are doing, you'll keep getting what you've got" or something like that.

Maybe try cutting back a bit on exercise for 2 weeks and see if that makes a difference. Check out www.intense-workout.com great info. I love that site.
