The BMI Myth

I know there are a ton of standards out there for judging if you are fit, body fat %, weight, measurements, so on, and so on. And I also know there are a lot of people who put a lot of faith in BMI. I just don't think most people know where it came from.
BMI was initially introduced by nutritionists working with starving children in Africa to determine their daily caloric requirements and if they were getting enough food. It was NEVER supposed to be used to check whether a healthy adult is over-weight, over-fat, or anything else. Something to think about.
