the days they do not exercise it is harder to stay within the allotted calories. I really need a day off from time to time .......but then I am hungry  any suggestions?

I have exactly the same problem. I typically run during my lunch hour during the week, except on Thursdays when I take my Grandma for her allergy shot. On Thursdays, I seem to wake up starving, I have to really watch what I eat and yet I still go over on my calories. On the days that I run, I sometimes have to force myself to eat my daily allowance plus my exercise calories.

My only suggestion is to allow it, but stay under for the week.

I'm usually starving on days I don't work out and days I do work out not so much!

home made soups. I have my freezer stocked with hearty home made soups like Vegetable Bean Stew, Lentil Soup, etc. They are nice meal sized bowls for usually around 200 calories. On rest days I will start with maybe an egg sandwich which is 2 whole eggs fried, with light veggie cream cheese and a drizzle of hot sauce. For lunch I will have one of the soups and a serving of baby carrots. Then I will shoot for a dinner of 400 calories or so and fill in the rest with snacks like fruit or string cheese.

I always do at least 30 mins of cardio to get a few extra calories. But I try to eat more protein on those days. For instance a couple of hard boiled eggs, protein smoothie for dinner and turkey w/ a baked sweet potato at lunch. Try eating oatmeal on those days too.

Well...if you are not eating much more on the exercise days, you can "save" the calories for the rest days. Look at your week as a whole, not per day maybe?

I notice the same things but I always keep mind that it's one day and I'm only 20-30 calories over. The rest of the week I'm fine or under so for the week it balances out.

I had a day like that yesterday, really wanted to eat more than I was allowed. I don't think I ate enough the day before and it had a knock on effect....make sure you use up all your allowance every day and maybe just go for a walk if you want a day off...

I find I am not as hungry on excersize days, but extra hungry the day after! I just use my unused cals from excersize days to keep me full up :) So long as I stay under my cals for the week I think its okay? :)
