Hey there,
Ive been plodding along with StrongLifts 5x5 program for around 10 odd months now... Im impressed with the strength gains, and fat loss, and muscle mass gain. however im rather new to weightlifting and body building.
So im doing: Squats (117.5kg), Bench Press(82.5kg), Clean and Press(55kg), Deadlifts(155kg) and Pendlay Rows(77.5kgs).
I dont feel my lats, biceps and forearms get worked enough with this program...
so ive added pull-ups/lat pull downs (lats/bicep), shrugs(forearms/traps), and hand grippers(forearms) to the mix. and I do these with no real consistency except I try to add either weight or reps each time.
does any one with more experience wish to offer their opinion on the pros/cons of this approach or offer an alternative

I do a routine very similar, Starting Strength, squats, bench, deads, pendlays, overhead press. I added dips on my squat/bench/deadlift days and pullups on my squat/overhead/pendlay days. Def have noticed a difference.0

ok thanks good to know you have noticed a difference with adding the extra lifts, Ive considered doing dips but as far as i know they work tri-ceps and if anything my triceps are over-developed compared to my biceps so ive stayed clear of them untill the rest of me catches up.0

pull ups after after deadlifts is a great way to go for added biceps. Incorporating other resistance exercises are also very beneficial and will help in balancing muscle growth, make sure to feed the muscle.0
