Good ways to track running distance?

The other day I jogged the farthest I ever had. I know this because I didn't take the same "round the bend and back again" route. Only...I don't know how to measure that... I don't have anything that can use an app, so if anyone has sites I could use, that would be AWESOME.

Check out either mapmyrun or runkeeper online.
Both of these sites let you plot the route that you ran and it will tell you how far you have gone.0 -
