I NEED HELP GETTING NEW RUNNING SHOES!

I'm going to my local Nike outlet today to replace my old running shoes and I need some suggestions. I did a bit of research but I'm hoping some ideas from you guys would also be helpful

I'm looking for something light weight but very supportive/sturdy. I don't have any foot issues (high arches etc,) but I DO have knee problems.
I don't need any bells and whistles, just a straight forward awesome running shoe.

I've looked into the Nike Pegasus +28s but, like I said before, I don't have any real issues with my feet and these seem a bit more geared to people who do. Would it be a bad idea to pick up a pair of these if I like them?

Any advice would be great, so thanks in advance!!!

I really liked the Nike Air Relentless. I like these for being super lightweight. You can see reviews at Finish Line's web site. I wouldn't wear these for running on any trails though.
