17-Day Diet?

Has anyone tried it? I've been doing some research, but because I am highly allergic to pretty much all artifical sweeteners (I get migranes from them - even one packet of splenda) I'm not sure I can do it. I also HATE salmon and it seems like there is a lot of it in the diet. I'm trying to find a way to lose these last 15 pounds without going on some crazy starvation/crash diet and the "cycles" in this system sound like a good kick-start and better way to eat, but since I can't really read the book online, I thought I'd ask if anyone tried it here. Please let me know. Thanks so much!

I have been on it since nov 1st and I love it. Don't worry about salmon - I never have eaten that. It's not required - it is just allowed. It's a great program - not a diet but lifestyle change. Definatly worth it to get the book but also there is a lot of info online and many great recipies. Good luck with whatever you choose. U can friend me if u have any questions.0

Thanks so much! I've been debating purchasing the book. My other concern is sugar. Not that I'm a major "sugar freak," but I can not use artificial sweeteners. Really the only thing I truly enjoy with sugar is my morning coffee. I do eat a cookie or have some ice cream here and there, but it's not like I crave sweets. If anything, I'm a "carb hound" which I know I have to change. Maybe I'll just suck it up and buy the book.... Do you have the workbook too?0

No I dont use the work book but some say it is helpful. The program promotes healthy eating And recommended natural no processed foods. Dont use sugar - I grew up on sweet n low as my mom was diabetic. They book recommends Stevia or truvia which I used when I started it but now I just use the sweet n low. I was a huge sugar eater - cookies cakes Ice cream - anything sweet and in huge amounts I didnt like cooking and used a lot of processed dinners Now I don't usesugar at all, eat lots of veggies and no processed food and have never felt better. I basically followed it to a tee - the first 17 days are strictest but resulted in 16 pound loss.0

The diet is good for results but the food gets repetitive especially if you're a picky eater. There are a lot of recipes out there just at the time I did not have the time for all the prepping. It's not for someone who is on the go all the time. But if you have the time. Seriously do it then. I lost 12 pounds in the firs 17 days. And then another 13 over a few months. I did gain it back however so here I am again. If you'll stick with it. Do it. You can have some amazing results.0

I agree food gets repetitive but it is a little easier for me because I am home ll day and can cook and experiment with new recipies. I try to constantly try to add different vegetables and spices to try to change it up a bit.0
