What Music Motivates you to get fit

Hey,

So I was wondering what music motivates you as I need to make a selection for my PS3 game, My Fitness Coach...

I like all types, depends on my mood. I am a big fan of rock music but you can hardly get fit to Led Zeppelins "Stairway to Heaven" or Lynyrd Skynards "Freebird" without attempting air guitar!

I am currently listening to a band called Shinedown, who are actually playing in my home town tonight and I can't go! Its their live album and I'm sitting at work, attempting to keep the urge to fist pump the air, as some tracks are full of energy! lol

All types are welcome, I have masses of music, and it won't hurt to broaden my tastes further!

xx

the exact opposite to the type of music I ike. I like coldplay, u2, billy bragg etc, but when I am working out I like dance type music with a good beat that fastens up as it progresses. I'll have to let you know when I remember the name of my particular work out favourite (probably tomorrow morning, during my 1.5 hour gym session!)

I listen to a lot of rock or techno/dance music when I'm working out. Two of my favorites that always motivate me are either Zombie Nation by Kernkraft or "This is War" by Sick Puppies.

Honestly...I love all kinds of music...from oldies to classic rock to 80's to pop to hip hop and beyond...

Right now I am obsessed with Foster the People, The Black Keys....
  • my absolute favorite song to listen to when I work out is 'Midnight City' by M83 not only is it upbeat and powerful to work out to, but it's also featured on the victoria's secret commercial.. it's embarrassing to admit this makes me feel like I'm part of the commercial looking all hot and confident haha!

  • Depends on the mood and state of mind.

    Eagles
    Led Zep
    ACDC
    Rage Against the Machine
    Def Leopard
    INXS
    Metallica (old stuff)
    Red Hot Chilli Peppers

    You get the picture....

Suprisingly, in the right mood, most of 90's Hip hop gets me cranking too.

I listen to r & b when I work out (Chris Brown, Bobby V, Pretty Ricky, Trey Songz, etc) My power song is 'beg for it' by Chris Brown. Its a slower song, but it pumps me up and makes my fingers and toes tingle!

I'm a music junkie and will listen to pretty much anything. Rock is by far my favorite, and my favorite for working out, too. Chevelle is my number 1, but also Sevendust, Breaking Benjamin, Five Finger Death Punch, Saliva, Papa Roach, etc.
