no - I don't want to poop myself! Seriously, the warnings with Alli are scarier than being overweight!0

A quick search for Alli here on the forums will give you plenty of first-hand experience (most of it negative). From what I've heard it "works" if you stick to the very strict fat allotments, but hey, if you're going to eat that little fat anyway, why take a pill?
How much weight are you trying to lose? Your ticker says 19lbs... my understanding is that Alli is more effective for people with a bit more weight they're trying to lose.0 -
I'm not sure I'd wanna take something that has a side effect of "Anal leakage" ... I'd rather lose weight the slow and HEALTHY way that can be maintained long term.0

I was considering adding it in only when I eat out since you can't really be sure of how much fat restaurants add during food prep.0

It would be a short term fix - losing weight is about lifestyle change. Fat doesnt make you fat, so dont worry about fat intake at restaurants. Most restaurants have the menu on their website now so can plan in calories. If not, you have to guesstimate, or just not go, but that would be no fun!!
I think chemicals like that are not worth. Nothing wrong with good old fashioned calories in, calories out! :laugh:0 -
I am currently in my 3rd month of using Alli. I have not had any of the negative side effects. It does require you to be strict with the amount of fat you consume per meal and this is all dependent upon your goal. Personally, I like it and it has helped me loose 23lbs. I took it for a month and then stopped when I went on vacation and was off of it for 2 mos. I didn't gain any of the weight I lost, but I didn't loose anything either. I recently started taking it again in January. I don't recommend it for a prolonged period of time time. I plan on taking it for a month more and then taking a break. I need that extra push and Alli has provided me that. It's not for everyone, those side effects are scary but that is what motivates me to stick to my allotted fat intake.
Good luck if you decide to go this route!0 -

I would not recommend this simply because you don't know how much fat there is in the meal and you don't want to have an accident on your day/night out, especially if you plan on going elsewhere afterwards.0 -
I'm using it now. The "scary" side effects haven't popped up yet...then again I drink 3 Ballerina Tea every night anyway so anal leak doesn't concern me like it may others. Since this is only my 2nd week I can't say much on how effective it is. I'm going to finish the bottle and see where that gets me. Worst case, I'll be cleaned up0

Many people who use Alli are "nervous" about eating foods with fat, soooooo they eat foods with less fat as a precaution. Guess what .... you can eat a lower fat diet for free.
Also there are good & bad fats. Eating fat does not make you fat ...overeating (anything) does.0
