A Drink or Two

Hello Fellow My Fitness Pals! I am meeting some friends for a couple drinks after work tonight! By nature I am a beer girl and will chose a beer over any other alcoholic beverage, however I was hoping some of you could offer me a few tips on drinks that might be a better choice! Please Help!     Wine spritzer, or vodka with club soda and a twist of lemon or lime. Having a water or plain club soda inbetween the couple of drinks will also help.

    Vodka with club soda and lime. However, if you are a "beer girl," that probably isn't appealing. If you're going to enjoy some beverages, just have the ones you truly enjoy and savor them in moderation! Drink slowly and keep a glass of water in the other hand at all times.

    Vodka soda with some lime or something is going to be your absolute lowest calorie/carb choice. But, I love a good beer as well, so usually I just plan for it. I decide what kind of beer I'm going to have, and limit myself to 2, and log them in food diary. Light beer is obviously going to be lower in calories carbs, Michelob Ultra is a good choice. But if you don't like light beer, just go for whatever beer you do like, and limit yourself. Drink water in between, and make sure you've got the calories available to splurge a little.

    A couple glasses of red wine are a good option as well, and I find that I drink red wine much slower than anything else since it's at room temperature.
