Getting body fat % calculated

I want to get my body fat % calculated. This may sound stupid, but will the time of day affect what my result will be? I know my fat wont change throughout the day, but will getting measured either at the beginning or end of the day affect the result eg through water, food intake etc?

How are you having it tested? If you are using a Bodpod or hydrostatic weighing, almost everything will effect it. Hydration level, amount of food in your digestive system etc. For that reason I would assume the morning would be a better time to measure provided you are properly hydrated.0

Just using the machine at the gym, which I know arent accurate but will give me a base level to go from. I was planning on doing it when I go tomorrow morning, but Im impatient so was thinking about tonight?0 -

If it is free or cheap try both and see how much a difference there is. even the ones that have sensors, will be affected by hydration levels.0 -

Thanks. Think I'll wait till the morning, and then always have it done at the same time so at least the results will be comparable0
