Different strokes for different folks...you just have to find what works for you.
I eat:
Breakfast (around 300 cals)
Snack (around 150)
Lunch (around 400)
Snack (around 150)
Dinner (around 400)
To lose a pound per week my intake should be at 1220, but I exercise 6 days a week so I almost always eat back my exercise calories. If I have a day I don't exercise and I'm a little bit over, then no biggie. That's just how I do it.0 -

Breakfast - 100 cals
Snack - 100 cals
Dinner - 300 - 400 cals
Snack - 100 - 200 cals
Tea - 400 - 600 cals
Making for a total of 1200 - 1400 a day depending on how many calories I burn, I eat back 'some' exercise calories but not all.0
