When I first signed up, I posted a brief hello, but I didn't know how calorie-counting was going to work out or if I was going to stick around. I've decided I like it here, and I'd like to meet more folks, so here's a bit more about me.
I am a happily married homeschooling mama of six (18, 10, 7, 5, 3, and 11mos.) I work occasionally outside the home as a RN (critical care pool). Since baby #6 has been born, I've really made the committment to fit in taking better care of myself.
I am not as focused on counting calories or losing pounds as much as getting proper nutrition and being healthy. One of the things I like about MFP is that I can see how I'm doing with the rest of my daily nutrients and not just calories--and I definitely have some improvements to make! I'm always struggling to get adequate protein, calcium, and iron. And less fat and sugar.
I am into herbal remedies and doing things as naturally as possible.
I love weight lifting and martial arts.
And I'm kind of a nerd. :-)
