I started this site in Jan 2012 and followed my new exercise and calorie plan everyday. I think in 1 month I only went over calories time. My sister-in-law introduced me to the site and was having success using it. I gave myself a BIG goal of losing #40 which now I know is going to be very very difficult. I lost 8# in January and was sooooooo excited. Then it all went downhill. First I hurt my foot(an old fracture) that got aggravated by so much exercise, then I had sick kids and got sick myself and I got off track. I didn't have the time or energy to exercise or watch my meals. Now its February 17 and I still have yet to start again. I know I have to. I need to lose this weight for my health. I am a busy, single mom to two beautiful boys and I have to stick around to care for them.

I just need some "magical" motivation to get me back on track. Any suggestions as to what worked for you? At think point I feel like it is sooooo much easier being overweight and being skinny is soooooo much work!

I'm down:(

Motivation can only come from YOU. If you don't know why you're here, then no one else can be of help.

Make a list of the reasons why you don't want to stay in the state you're in now. That list has to be the reasons why you just can't stay the way you are for another minute. You have to WANT it and want it badly. Put each item on that list on a post-it note and put pictures of yourself up around the house - in the bedroom, in the bathroom, on the fridge, everywhere. Remind yourself of why you're here.

Weight loss is difficult. You need to plan - plan to succeed and plan to have setbacks. Keep a journal of when you eat, how you feel, all of that. Make action plans when you do have setbacks so they don't happen again. Plan your meals ahead of time. Plan your workouts. Losing weight IS work. But nothing worth doing in life comes easy.

Honestly, unless you've finally reached rock bottom and I do mean ROCK BOTTOM, you may just cycle through again. You have to want this. No one else can want this more than you.
