There would not be an accurate average for the Database.
Reason:
No two people will burn the exact cal amount, or really even close.
P90X and P90X2 are primarily a fast paced circuit training / strength training workout. A combo of strength, and cardio.
Not pure cardio, which is easier to get a rough average of.
The amount of reps you do, the weight range you do, and length of your rest break will all dramatically effect "your" cal burn.
So it will be impossible to really find a true accurate average for most.
The best way to record them - get a good heart rate monitor with a chest strap, that also allows you to enter your enter, weight and height.
Under MY EXERCISES, click CREATE EXERCISE, and list each P90 DVD, as an exercise. List them in the Cardio section. Record your time and calorie burn based on your HRM.
This will not be 100% accurate, but it will be close enough, and more accurate then any "average" you find.
Alternatively - just use the entry for CIRCUIT TRAINING - and add your time. But that still may, or may not be close for you.
For example - in P90X - the average suggested by the material in the package was something like 500-600 cal per DVD.
However my average, as a 5'2" women, in very good shape, doing all DVDs in advanced levels with heavy weights, and working between all rest breaks, and adding extra weights on all moves including ab ripper, plyo etc - was still only 300-400 cal burn per DVD.
My husband is higher. He is bigger, he is male, and men often have different cal burn then women,0 -
Great points! Thanks0
