Hello! I thought I would check this out as suggested by my new wellness coach through my insurance. I have used other sites before and I am interested in seeing how this one works.

I will be 56 next month, I work at a desk job, mother of 4 and grandmother of 10 and have been newly married for a little over two years.

Looking forward to a new start.

congrats on making the step! Feel free to add me as a friend. I just started a few days ago. I have lost 30 pounds since September, but just starting on MFP to help me be more accountable. I am on each day, tracking away. I am 56 also, and have a desk job.

Welcome to the site - 56 here but I have a very active job, only difference. Add me as a friend if you like, been here since December, lost 7 lbs before joining 22 since joining. I love this place and my MFP family. (Well except for some of the forums, I should just not read any but the Introduce Yourself one, lol.

Hi! This is a great site to help keep you motivated. I joined after a friend told me that she lost 20 pounds using this site to stay accountable. Feel free to add me as a friend as I understand the need for motivation and try to pass that on to my friends.

Welcome! Also, I found that its better to input higher calories when you are not sure about the product you are consuming rather then underestimate it.

^This. The only person who suffers when you're not honest is you. As an interesting experiment, you may want to record your meals from the past couple of days so you have a baseline for comparison. Best of luck in your journey.

So nice to meet you! Feel free to add for friend if you like. Been here a while ... lost 23 pounds then got injured, discouraged and sidetracked. I subsequently gained all but 6 of it back faster than I had lost it. But I am back again, with a different approach and getting back in gear. Here's to a new start for both of us!

Welcome! Add me if you want some folks on your newsfeed. I find that having a bunch of creative, motivated people in my friends list helps me stay focused. MFP has helped me lose 17lbs, the other 10 I lost before I started using the website. I introduced MFP to some of my coworkers and now we geek out about, what kinds of healthy foods we found, new works out we tried, etc. It makes work more fun! If you can get people around you on board it helps a bunch. You can do it! :)
