Green tea used to be very contriversial, but now there is green tea in everything! It is s'pose to aid in weight loss and be very healthy for you! In moderation of course, like most things. Do some more research and see if it is something you might be interesting in trying. You never know! There's nothin' wrong with a good 'ol cup of tea!0

i don't know about weight loss properties but it has many antioxidants.
it acts as a diuretic though so you're going to need to drink more water if you start drinking tea0 -
Wow.. I was just reading about it online and it's sounds pretty good for you... I think I'm going to start replacing my morning coffe with it...I mean it can't hurt... and it's better for me than coffee!!!!0

Starbucks has a green tea called 'zen' and I like that a lot. I wish I could train myself to drink that in the morning instead of my skinny 12oz latte... I'd save money, that's for sure!:laugh:0

A month or so ago, I was seeing lots of things about the benefits of green tea, so I decided to give it a try. I found out I really like it, plus I starting drinking it in place of coffee, without the creamer I like so much! That alone helps me cut down on calories! I had hit a major plateau, so I decided to give it a try for it's metabolism boosting properties. I don't know if it's the green tea, or some of the other changes I've made, but I've started losing the weight again. Even if the tea isn't responsible, it has so many other great benefits, I'll keep on drinking it!
Green tea is lower in caffeine than some of the other teas. From what I've read, you'd have to drink 250-300 mgs. worth of caffeine (5-6 cups of coffee) at one sitting in order for it to have a diuretic effect. I still drink water, but I also enjoy my green tea, especially with meals.0 -
I hit a plateau too and just started drinking green tea - like you, I've noticed the weight coming off again (more or less.)
I've swapped my coffee for green tea and I feel a lot less jittery and thirsty. I'm sold on it!0
