I got this from the doctors. i thought you guys would like it.
Im going to try it one of these days..its a plus that it barely has carbs
Burger Lettuce Wrap Recipe
Ingredients
1 lb. Extra Lean Turkey Breast Burger
1 Chopped Onion
15 oz. Black Beans
5 oz. Tomato Paste
1 tbsp. Spicy Mustard
1 tbsp. Honey
1 tsp. Tabasco
1 Sliced Tomato
1 tsp. Cumin
1 cup Zucchini
Whole Grain Bun or Lettuce Wrap
Salt & Pepper
Directions
Heat a pan or grill.
Blend black beans into a paste, using blender or food processor.
Mix mustard, honey, and tomato paste in a small bowl.
Add turkey to mustard mixture, combining thoroughly. Form into patties.
Saute onions and zucchini in a pan.
Grill or saute the burgers thoroughly, making sure to cook out all the pink. It should take about five minutes on each side, but check color to be sure. You can also use a meat thermometer. At 165, the burgers should be fully cooked.
Place burgers in lettuce wraps or on buns.
Top with zucchini, onions, tomato, and black bean paste.
This recipe should make approximately four turkey burgers.
