Is anyone else still seeing the effects of Easter?

I started on this site 2 weeks before Easter, and was totally pleased with what I was seeing. I wasn't even tracking my weekend intake, just paying closer attention, but still looking fine on Monday. This Monday, after Easter, I looked WORSE than I did before - bloated, excess fat showing, etc... I thought this would quickly go away after getting back into the swing of things, but here it is Wednesday afternoon, and I still don't look like what I did before Easter. And, I still feel very bloated. I am doing everything the same as I did the first 2 weeks. Drinking more than enough water, staying within my calories and working out. Anyone else still feeling Easter, or have any thoughts on this?

By the way, I didn't even eat a ridiculous amount on Easter. That's why I thought it was sodium-related.

Thanks!!

I am with you. I was doing great prior to Easter now it just feels like a back spin. I think a lot of it was the food that I ate. Even though I was well with in my calories much of it was high in sodium (ham) so I am thinking that it is going to take a week to get this back off. Good luck!

I am feeling the after affects of deep fried Fish and Chips on Good Friday (the only thing I ate all day because I was fasting... ugh... not smart), and another night out with my family. "Easter Dinner" I was very good and ate lots of veggies and only had a small bit of ham. Monday I went back into full diet and exercise mode.

Since Friday, though, I've been bloated and went up 2 pounds. I'm just drinking lots of water, almost no salt, and eating lots of fibre waiting for it to work its way out of my system, lol.

Nope. Definitely not just you. But, I'm proud of myself because normally I would have continued on with the "not so hot" choices I'd made. But, Sunday evening, I ate a light, sensible dinner and got some exercises in. And, Monday, I made excellent choices and did two Shred workouts. This is just another confirmation that the weight comes a lot quicker than it goes and that I need to be more careful in the future. Good job at recognizing and getting right back into your groove!

You know what - I didn't even eat Easter dinner (just had things I would usually have eaten) but my gym was closed so I took the day off from exercise and I still feel icky!

Maybe it's just the time of year or something, lol!

Well, it is motivating to hear that it's not just me. Not that I want you all to be feeling icky.
I will just keep doin what I'm doin. I couldn't wait to get back on track once the weekend was over! I just hope I see it disappear again! I'm off to the gym now!

The candy at our house is going to get put up. Way, way up. Like, possibly even up and over the side of our garbage can. We'll see if out of sight, out of mind works. But, if it doesn't. It's going bye-bye. The kids won't miss it after a night or two. It's not like they need it either. :ohwell:

I will admit that this weekend I fell into the deep end of the pool. Saturday night I thought Id enjoy a nice glass of wine and ended up drinking the whole bottle. On Sunday I can admit I totaly overate but it wasnt too unhealthy. On monday I got back on track but on tuesday I had a root canal and didnt excersize. I am feeling completley slugish and am finding it challenging to get out of this rut. I am hoping that with the weekend upon us we will each find our strength to end this week on a good note and get back on the band wagon. Good luck to all of you feeling the same!!! WE CAN DO THIS!!! Thanks for your support and your honesty it feels good to know your not alone in this struggle. I will be challenging myself to drinking 1/2 my body weight in water and pushing myself through my workout extra hard tonight!
