This is the frustrating things about scales THEY ALWAYS HAVE DIFFERENT READINGS!!! UGH!! I have two scales a digital one that I paid good money for at US Fitness Products and a cheap manual one from Walmart...This morning I stepped on the digital scale and it said 164.2...the manual one said 166 or 167 (couldn't see those small lines from my standing point)...so then 4 minutes later I stepped back on the digital scale and it said 165.4 WTH!?!? I didn't eat, drink, or go to the bathroom in those 4 minutes!!! I see right now, those scales are NOT going to be my friend!

I don't think they make a accurate scale. Even my doctors office told me theirs is off. I would just weigh yourself with the same scale everytime and keep track of weight lost.
  • Make sure you put scales exactly the same place on floor every time you use them. Moving them around even a few inches I find can make a difference, also the type of floor they're on. I always use hard flooring and not carpet as it makes me weigh less.

Like the other posters have said, same place, same time, same scales. I have a three times rule. I stand on my scales repeatedly until the same reading comes up 3 times. That is then the one I log. But apart from that - try not to obsess over what the scale says, the tape measure should be your friend. :)

I weigh myself first thing in the morning once a week.
