Quick add calories

Maybe it's a silly question but what exactly do people need quick add calories for??? I really dunno how many calories I have eaten until I check the database.

    I just used it the first time yesterday because the data base didnt have the item i was looking for and I didnt have the time to add it. So I used the quick add seeing that I knew the calorie count.
