At all. O.k I'm 6 ft and a little on the clumsy side. I was never good as a child either but this was awfull! I did get my heart rate up for a few but I think that was aggravation. I tried tying stuff to the middle and holding it all kinds of ways... The one's I have say Gold's gym. They are like jumping with sewing thread. Any body got any advice ? I know I need to practice. But I think I need a better rope to start with.

I really like vinyl jump ropes. They have a good amount of weight so they swing properly. I purchased one for $10 or so from a local department store which had a 1/4" thick length of cable coated in vinyl and handles with bearings in them (so they don't bunch).
Highly recommended.
Other than that, I find that keeping a steady rhythm helps a lot with the actual process, but there's not much more I can say on the subject.0 -
Thanks for the tip on the rope. I'll find one this week . I rendered the other useless.0
