1. My scale is right next to my fridge. I see it every time I open the door.
2. I just nailed by swimsuit and short shorts that don't fit to the wall so I see it every morning!!!
What do you do?

I'm just never happy with the way I look in mirrors or pictures and that keeps me going.
On another note, I like drag racing and from what I heard every 10 lbs you take off your car, the car frees up an equivalent of 1 horsepower. SO if I keep up my weight loss, maybe I have a chance of running better times next season, lol!!!
I know its stupid, but anything helps...0 -
I think of those disgusting pictures of what actual fat looks like!
Every time I think of breaking out, I just picture that fat in my body and how much I want to get it out!
It works for me0 -
read this: http://nerdfitness.com/blog/2011/08/31/is-it-really-worth-it/ and watch the video at the bottom of the article.0

What i do is look at skinny people and see what they can do that i cant for motivation.. :glasses:0

I have 2 cutsie little tops that I can't wear anymore so I nailed them to the wall in the room I workout in. So everytime I workout I stay motivated.0

Step on the scale! I know a lot of people say to only look at it once a week or whatever but I check it every morning and every night. Even if it's not where I want it, I remind myself how much I've lost so the number on there is a huge improvement. I also have a mini celebration every time I hit a number that I can't remember ever being at before.
I also look at the photo I took of current pants vs pants that I had last year at this time...
Also, i look at the size of my jeans! The size they are now I don't remember ever seeing and its huge motivation to hit the next small size0 -
I posted pics of Victoria Secret models on my fridge and mirrors.. lol.....
plus graduation is coming up and I wanna look great
not to mention I want to join the military and I have to get down to 150's for my height... !!!!0 -
I look at the energy of my five year old and think of how excited he is when I am able to run and keep up with him, nothing makes me want to quit!0

I hung up an old outfit that my goal is to wear again, on the wall of my workout room/closet.
BUT I find the biggest motivator, is losing weight. Every time I get on the scale and it is down even .5lbs I feel motivated to work out hard that day!0 -
I think about what I want for myself in the near future..to get married, have a kid, be a positive role model to my step kids. (Especially the girl she's overweight) and think about how I always want to be around and be able to do nice physical things with them. Xxx0

I have a picture from when I was 17 and a great size, so I look at that every so often! But the best motivator I found was something I did yesterday.... I tried on all my old cocktail dresses from when I was 20, 21 & last year & they were ALL too big!!!! (It's a shame as each dress was on average $150) however I am smaller than what I was then & I am getting closer to my 17/18 year old self! Woo! Now that's a motivator!
Also I have a my little cousin coming up on holiday for his birthday and we are going to a water park (Bikini alert!!!!) and I am going on a Pacific Island cruise with my boyfriend & want to look smoking for him!! :-) Cannot wait to lose a couple more kilograms!0 -
At night just before i fall asleep i think about what i want to get accomplished the next day (Todo List). I always think about what workout i have to do and when i do i imagine how i will look once i reach my goal. I always wake up ready to workout.
I also read all the success stories on MFP and watch success stories on youtube.0 -
I do a bunch of things!!
I made a collage with weight loss and fitness quotes and words like sexy, hot mama.....and added my goals into the empty spots.
I advertised my goals to my MFP friends and some of my co-workers, friends, and family. This helps me because people will ask or wonder how I am doing. I am very competitive and don't want to tell people I am not doing well!!!
I keep a journal of different accomplishments...weight, exercise, BMI....
Pictures are definetly a motivation!!!
Keep old clothes...stuff you do not want to ever fit in again, and stuff you want to fit in again!!!
MFP!!!! This site is wonderful!!!! Everyone on here is so supportive!!!
Good luck!!! And keep up the hard work!!!0 -
I want to go to an amusement park with my husband and kids.
I want to go hiking and mountain climbing like I used to.
I want to be an independent individual who doesn't need a scooter to get around in when I'm in my forties or fifties. (I know people who use them only because they are obese and I do not want that for myself.)
I want to be a good example to my children.0
