I graduated high school in 1972, not an athlete by any means, but in decent shape.
My jeans were 33 waist and 32-33 inseam.
Today I bought a pair of Levis sized 32w, 32L, and they fit perfectly.
Oh yes, they were "skinny" jeans, the 511 model. I never would have fit into a skinny anything in high school.
So, to sum up, I'm thinner now than I was 40 years ago.
