iLipo/Laser Lipo

Has anyone had this done? It's where they put paddles on the areas you want to lose fat and the lasers open the fat cells to release fat molecules into the blood stream. You then have to do at least 30 mins of exercise to encourage the release of the fat through natural metabolic processes. I believe you can see the loss of inches/cms straight away.

I want to do this and just wondered if anyone else had done this.

Yes, it's cheating, but I've lost nothing from the front of my stomach. I've lost 3 inches from my waist in total, but only from the sides. I still have the front bulge! And if it can be done, I want inches off my arms. The rest I'm not too worried about.

Groupon were doing iLipo sessions for ages when I had no money, now there aren't any...TYPICAL!

    No one?
  • I will comment since I have lots of friends who have had traditional and laser lipo done.
I personally have not done laser lipo, but have a friend who did and it is quite amazing how great she looks as they targeted her hips and abs. I would say inches and she did not have to deal with any oozing. The only downfall is that you still have to have a local, which means you cannot just drive yourself in and drive yourself out when you are done.
Downfall #2 is that laser lipo here in the Seattle area is MORE expensive than traditional lipo (try $4500 vs. $3500)
I have had traditional lipo and the only thing I cannot stand is the scar holes that take a few years to go away. I had it done last June on my waist and bra fat area. Since then I workout 4-5x a week and have dropped 6% bodyfat in 4 months...but I have worked at it.

By no means is Lipo or any form of plastic surgery an end all fix. If you do not change your habits, you will gain fat back in the area. It happened to my girlfriend.
with that said, I have had three children (2 of those Csections). It is a lie if anyone tells you it is "Medically Possible to get your abs back". Remember that fitness people are NOT medical doctors. I have yet to have a medical doctor tell me that years of sit ups and crunches will repair the damaged stomach area from three kids.
I am actually going back in for Lipo contouring on my stomach and waist from my Tummy Tuck last year to fix the pockets a TT cannot get rid of.

i-Lipo does work on the 'excess' or pockets of fat one has, I also suggest if you are already used to mild exercise you take up at least 45 minutes post i-Lipo treatment exercise to burn off the released energy.

Take the full course, 8 or 9 treatments. Remember though, this isn't a magic wand, but neither is traditional lipo. For long term results you need adopt a healthier eating and active lifestyle.

    i-Lipo owner.
