Typical........just as I've got back into my exercise again, and got my fitness levels back up, I have had the date confirmed for my ankle surgery.............2nd March!
I am pleased it's soon and I don't have too long to fret about it, but I am not looking forward to being back on crutches again :(

I've just ordered a gym ball so hopefully I can at least work my core muscles just by sitting on it, even though I may be non-weightbearing for a week or so.

Such a bummer when routine gets interrupted, but your perspective is great! Good plan getting the gym ball so you can do some exercises while you recover. And being fit going into the surgery may help you recover more quickly. :flowerforyou: When I was down and my routines derailed a few months ago, I continued to eat healthy and logged all my foods, and I didn't really gain any weight at all over the 3 month period. I lost fitness progress of course, but I wasn't doing any exercises at all - so hopefully if you keep busy with that ball, you'll come through it very well.

I feel for you. I just had surgery on my leg Wednesday and it's killing me to sit around. I am trying to look at this as a blessing in disguise. I was so motivated when I first started to see the results of my hard work, but have found that lately I have been losing motivation (even though I am getting so close to my goal). But I think after having a few weeks that I am unable to do anything strenuous, I will be remotivated to kick some *kitten* when I get the green light to work out again.

Yes I'm still planning to continue to log all my food and to eat healthily too.......damage limitation if nothing else!

Hope your recovery goes well, and that you find your motivation again :flowerforyou:
