So I just started lifting for the first time in my life last week... I started with Arms, next day legs, then back and stomach, So it has been 5 days since I did arms and they are still burning.. not in a bad way, just in a "I can still feel the burn" way. Is this normal 5 days later? Did I over do it? Any advice???

It's definitely normal! After I started back up again after taking years off I was definitely sore for days!0

Yes normal.
Eating a post-workout protein-rich meal will help your body repair itself. Also, try to get 1g of protein for every pound of lean mass if you are lifting.0 -
Yep, definitely normal...it's a good excuse to ask your significant other for a massage though0

delayed onset muscle soreness - that's my guess. First time I worked out my arms they were sore for a week. First couple of days were the worst.0

Really Normal, I would actually recommend a 3 day split.0

That's about what happened my first day after never lifting before. It hasn't been anywhere close to that bad anytime since, just the first time.0

Agreed, something like:
Day 1 - back and biceps
Day 2 - chest and triceps
Day 3 - legs, shoulders and abs
Each day once a week, give your body time to recover.0 -
best feeling ever! try to make sure you get that after every workout, it's a sign that the lifting is working.
Also, eat enough protein, you need to fix those tears in the muscles.0
