Figured I would post this here too, according to my goals I am usually at only about half of my allocated fat grams every day. Is this a good thing, or should I try to add in something to get me closer to the goal number? I was thinking of snaking on almonds or something w. "good" fat.

avocados are in season right now and they're delicous. I make my own gaucamole (some restaurants and dips in grocery store but things loike sour cream in it) by mashing up an avocado and mixing with with diced tomatoes, onions, lime juice, cilantro, and jalapeno juice. This morning on GMA Hngry Girl said she also does mashed peas because you get more for less calories and fat so that something to try as well.

Cut fresh bell peppers for a chip like dip and crunch and its an awesome snack, or put it on a pita, wrap, or sandwhich bread which other veggies for lunch. I looooove avocados lol can you tell?

Adding more fat to your diet may actually help you shed the pounds. This is because fats are absolutely vital to bodily processes and if you are not taking enough in, the body doesn't want to let go of fat stores.

Healthy fats can be found in fish, nuts and seeds and nut butters, olives and olive oil, avocados, soy beans, and many other things. Just stay away from trans fats altogether, as they provide no benefit to your body; and try to limit saturated fats, as we only need these in very small quantities.

    Hey A!

I used to be afraid of fat but soon realized just how essential they are! They are just as important as everything else, especially the good stuff. I started to snack on nuts and nut butters more. Even indulging in a little nutella!!! Let me tell you, a tbsp on a Thomas light multi-grain english muffin is a wonderful snack!!

And I eat avocado and use olive oil and also started to eat chicken thighs more often than just chicken breast. Sure the chicken thigh isn't the good fat but with all the other healthy foods and the way I limit fat in other ways and eat good fats most of the time, those kind CAN be OK too!!

Like for lunch, I am having a sandwich with oven roasted chicken breast, hellmans light mayo, sliced tomato and sliced avocado. Great way to get the good stuff in!!

Fat makes your hair pretty. I eat my eggs with the yolk. Plus a lot of nuts. Everyone comments how pretty and shiny my hair is. I always tell them it is the egg yolks.
