My husband just called me and told me that this morning when he and his partner were leaving the shop, they saw some police cars pull into the shop parking lot. He said there were about 7 or 8 cars. He said one of the salesmen, David, was arrested. He doesn't know the whole story yet because they were on thier way to a job, but something about someone called in to tell the police that he, David, was on severe medication and had a gun. They don't know what his intent was yet. My husband said he is a really quiet guy but that he has been having problems with the other salesman and that they hate each other. So scary!!! He could have been on his way to shoot the place up or something!!!
Thank God he was caught before he could do anything and hopefully he will get what ever help he may need. I don't know who called the police but I am so thankful that they did! Everyone that works at that shop are family, literally, it's a family owned business, my husband his 2 brothers, the boss, his 3 daughters and 1 granddaughter and the rest who are all close friends all work there. That would have been just tragic!!!!!! (any shooting is tragic but it would have wiped out an entire family) If that was his intent!

Please say a prayer for this man as he sounds troubled.

Well, turns out the guy had taken Cialas (or something, not sure what it was). He also drank 1 glass of wine and he was totally out of it. He did this the night before and when he got up in the morning to go to work he was still out of it. He is deaf and didn't put his hearing aids in. He was so out of it that he hit 4 cars on the way to work and was so determined to get to work that he just looked straight ahead and never looked in his mirror to see that the cops were behind him, and because he didn't have his hearing aids in, he didn't hear the sirens. He did have a gun with him be he is licensed to carry it. He is in his late 50s and has never even had so much as a speeding ticket! So when he got out of his truck and was thrown up against the truck he was very scared. He had no idea what was happening to him. He spent the night in jail and was still out of it the next day when he went home. I think maybe he took more than one of his medication or he got a bad one! Luckily no one was hurt in the cars that he hit. The police are leaving it up to the DA to determine if the charges should be dropped because he was not under the influence of anything illegal. It was still a very scary situation for everyone involved.

Cialis is an erectile dysfunction drug. That doesn't help him sleep.

ANYWAYS, glad it turned out okay.

Wow Memaw. What a story - I'm glad that there wasn't more damage. I hope he is o.k. and never takes that medication again!

Well, it can make you sleepy I guess... indirectly...

Did the police chase last longer than four hours? He may have needed immediate attention for a "serious medical condition," according to the television ads...

Fatstrat - I just spewed tea all over my desk. Well, not really. I'm smart enough to wait until after I read your posts to take a drink! But I would have!
