Hi.

I'm brand new to the site and still poking around, trying to take it all in so be patient with me. :)

My sweetie pie is on a fitness kick, and I figure it couldn't hurt for me to jump on the bandwagon as well. I'm fast approaching the other side of 25, and I am anxious to see what that's going to be like. Though more importantly, I want to spend my next 25 years(and beyond) living a healthy and insanely active life. I love adventure, and I'm sure I'll love it even more 100lbs lighter.

I grew up on a farm - working like the men and eating like the men - so I've always been a big girl. I have never dieted in earnest. Mainly because I've always been active and I've always "felt good/healthy."

And even though I still feel good - I can't delude myself into thinking and 278lbs on a 5'6" frame is healthy, no matter how you slice it. Besides my tastes have changed and I wouldn't mind getting a new wardrobe either. ;)

Right now, I have no strategy. My boss loves crossfit. A few friends of mine kind of do P90X...somedays? lol

Hopefully, I'll be able to maintain a steady exercise routine and come up with a diet that I can live with for the long haul.

I'm taking a day to research and come up with a plan of attack. I'll go ahead and poke around the forums some more. I look forward to taking advantage of everything MFP has to offer and possibly meeting some awesome new folks in the process.

My other interests include:
redneckin' (huntin', fishin', and beer drinkin')
- though maybe not so much beer drinkin' anymore, hah
vintage automobiles
music
gaming
art
being a nerd
and generally getting waste deep into things I know absolutely nothing about :))
