i feel so exhausted after todays workout. my entire body hurts. i was wondering if its okay to do cardio 7days/week, thats what im doing. 40-50 mins cardio everyday.ive been doing this for over a week now. but now im begining to feel this isnt probably right. my ankle hurts also. doctor said its a muscle inflammation. i love cardio. its the only exercise im able to stick to and not bored of yet otherwise i usually lose interest in workouts.
i do a 20mins turbo jam and a 20mins zumba, so makes 40 mins cardio everyday. plus i do other aerobics too for 15-20mins.
i was all good but right now the pain in my body is telling me i should take a break. once im back okay can i continue with the 7days/week cardio.
fyi, i havent added any strength training pogram in my regime. should i?
help out pals

If you are injured and exhausted after one week, I think you've answered your own question - yes, you need a break. Exercise causes little tears in your muscles and a rest day gives them time to heal up and get stronger.
Try doing your more intense cardio 3 or 4 days a week, add in some strength training for one or two days and either walk or swim (gently!) or rest on the other day.0 -
i just finshed 8 days working out straight yesterday - needed a day off today. After consulting with my trainer he said i should try and take at least two days off together if possible. I told him i would take two days off from the gym but play golf on my off days - he wasnt happy but said go ahead as long as I could handle it0
