Not enough intake

Help. I'm noticing I eat well below my daily caloric intake goal. Suprisingly I don't eat many meals throughout the day. Any suggestions on supplements or protein shakes I can drink to make up for what I lack?

Lucky for you, you live in the states. And supplements come very cheap compared to the rest of the world.
Anyway, this is purely to answer your question on a supplement to SUPPLEMENT your diet, this will not help
you with fat loss or anything.
A good protein meal replacement is myofusion by gaspari, oats and whey by optimum nutrition, lean deserts by BSN.
Go to www.bodybuilding.com it's a supplement site and extremely cheap. =]0 -
Do you eat a lot of reduced fat items? You should maybe switch back to regular to get your cals up. Also, nuts are a real calorie dense food that are really good for you. Many places have single serving bags or I usually just buy a big one and weigh them out and put into ziploc snack bags to bring in my purse.
With protein shakes, just advice to try a little container first. There are many out there and most are not consumed for taste but for getting protein. I like EAS CarbAdvantage but that isn't going to help you up your calories much as 110 cals a serving. Most of the bars are higher in cals but then they are in sugars as well so might not be a good trade off. With those, again, watch that you don't buy too many and get stuck with a bunch that taste really bad.0 -
My issue is that I hate any variant of nuts so sadly that's not an option. Some items I eat are low fat but I try to balance it out with the regular counterpart. I think I need to add more (healthy) snacking and a shake of some sort to get over that hump. I am so thankful for your replies :-)0

Nuts are good thing to snack on, but they are high in calories, if you go overboard with the nuts
you can consume hundreds of calories without meaning to. A protein shake is a good thing to have between
your main meals, as it tastes good :P and will keep you full long enough so that you don't snack on any junk food0
