Lighter Life Opinions

My mom joined lighter life a couple of months ago and has had some success on it. She's on the Lighter Life Lite plan and is allowed one meal a day. She convinced me to give it a go but when I went along to the meeting with her I was informed that because I'm obese the plan my mom is on won't work for me, and I would need to do the Lighter Life Total plan. No real food allowed! I'd be allowed to ''eat'' 4 of their packets a day for a total of 500 cals until I reach my ideal weight. It seems a bit extreme to me but the lady assured me that it is perfectly safe. Any opinions? I'm very skeptical, and getting hungry at the thought of it!

Looking at your progress bar on your post, looks like you are having success already. That sounds extreme. Are you not happy with the results you have seen since using the MFP with real food like you will eat when you achieve your goal?

I have been pretty happy with the results so far. I've been out of work the past couple of months though which has made it easier. I'm starting a new job on Wednesday and terrified about falling back into the old habits of grabbing lunch from the cafe and going through the drive through on the way home. I thought maybe more structure would help me stick to it, but I don't think I'd last a week on that diet!

Don't do it! Sound "whacked"! That kind of diet may help you lose but you'd never be able to maintain it. Stik to what you have been doing. If it works don't fix it.

I agree, dont do it. We are trying to make LIFESTYLE CHANGES not temporary fixes. I can promise you that you may loose but you will definitely gain the weight back plus some. You must plan your lunches and snacks for your new job. Plannning means packing lunch and snacks ahead of time. Good Luck to you ! :flowerforyou:
