I'm 42 and need to lose 40lbs. I need to get off my butt and start working out again. I hate exercise and have a hard time making time for it. I'm hoping and praying that I can stick to it this time!!

Welcome to MFP... I was exactly in your shoes two months ago. 42, needing to lose 60 pounds, hadn't really exercised in years.
Unfortunately, there is no easy way to do this other than to make time for it. Schedule time to exercise into your day. For me, it was time to stop making the excuses and just DO it.

Welcome to MFP, you will be able to do it.....people here are so supportive. As for exercise no one likes to do it, but we all make time for it, someone has told me to think of it like Medicine.............you have to take your meds so EXERCISE is one of your pills you have to do it everyday..............now I don't follow that advise very well so I guess that is why I am still fighting my battle...........I love this site and my friends..........they do help...........

Well, if what is holding you back is being overwhelmed by HAVING to start exercising, then do not do it right now. Get a handle on your eating and logging first. Small changes are best. Yes, exercise is important, but start looking for ways to add in extra steps where you can, and slowing build to a full out workout.

Hi - I'm just getting started too. I'm 41 and have over 40 to lose. I used to exercise daily but recently have had a lot of things going on. I need to get back on track NOW. Hoping this website will motivate me. Need some friends to help me with this journey.0
