how much weight training/what???

I have been using mfp for quite a while now and am not really seeing results. I have been told that I should really incorporate some weight training, but I am just not sure what or how much to do. I have problems with my neck and my one shoulder, so I am not able to do some exercises...but I don't want that to be an excuse not to do any at all!

So, how often, how long, how much,which ones etc...weights? Thanks for any adivice :)
