I lost 185# with a Gastric Bypass in 2006, I am blessed to have the weight off, I look and feel better, never got to goal weight. Mid 2011 I decided this was it I was going to get to goal, by changing my lifestyle meaning I was gonna be health and fit. I have lost 63 pounds since then, I am 7#'s away from my goal weight. I sometimes can't see where I am. I went to my grandaughters school for grandparents day, For the first time I was out there playing ball and I felt good doing it. I looked at my picture and it looked like I had on someone elses clothes. The Jacket big the pants to big they were even too long, lol. This is better than the scale pointing to my goal weight. If I knew how to put my pictures on MFP I would share. The greatest gift was me actively playing with my grandbaby and winning, lol even if they were 3rd graders:blushing:

What a great NSV! My grandbabies are my biggest supporters and motivators. I had gastric bypass 7/28/11. I'm still in the honeymoon stage and amazed by the weight loss. Smaller sizes are so great! But the other day, I found myself and my 4 yr old granddaughter sitting next to each other on a chair in an office. When she started to get up next to me, I told her to sit on my lap so we wouldn't be scrunched together. She said "No Grandma, there's lots of room for both of us." I nearly cried.

I'm here on MFP because I'm 21 lbs from goal and my nutritionist suggested I come here to moniter my food and exercise. Weight loss surgery is a life-style change. Kudos to you for continuing your journey. Have a wonderful trip!
