I walked on my treadmill today (foot still kinda hurts) and used my pedometer as well. Both my pedometer and my treadmill said I walked almost exactly the same amount of distance but my treadmill said I burned 178 calories and my pedometer said only 104. :grumble: I guess I will ask for one for Mother's Day and my Birthday combined (both in May) from my kids.

I just got mine in the mail the other day and I'm finding that it says I am burning more than what the machine says.0

I would like to have one as well! Makes things more accurate. I'd like a food scale thingy too (technical terms haha)0

I have the food scale thingy  My daughter is studying to be a pastry chef so we have a really good one. It was really surprising to me how much I over estimated my food size.0 -

Mine does too!, I was really shocked to find that because everyone says that the machines overestimate, but i was pleasantly surprised.0 -
I have an older Nordic Track Eliptical machine and it will say 1000 calories burned and my HRM says 600, but it is not electronic so there is nor way to add any variables. Everyone burns the same amount of calories for the same exercise. I love my HRM because I now know how much I burn on walks.0

Yeah the food scale is another invaluable tool. I found out that I was underestimating things! I was pumped that I got to eat more. :laugh:0
