I was talking about weight loss maintenence I already have enough muscle mass and that is easy to maintain, but keeping my weight at the desire level will be hard to do, but the article I mention really helps me.0

You look very good. Keep it that way. Dont quit weightlifting + eat dem proteins0 -
I think the best way is to keep doing what you're doing, and increase your calorie intake slowly till you find what works for you.
I'm OK if I eat around my maintenance caloiries (net cals).0 -
I'm still trying to figure that out.
When I was losing I gave my self a range;
ROCK BOTTOM 1200 cal [stay healthy -- get all of my nutrition]
TARGET MFP Lose 1 or 1/2 lb per week
TOP OF RANGE: Goal Weight Maintenance calories [I should still lose weight, just not as fast as MFP says]
(Safety valve: current weight Maintenance calories) [I shouldn't gain weight]
I started out try to stick to the 1200 calories a day, and felt like a failure when I couldn't do it.
When I gave myself a range, it was way easier to stick with it.
I had a bit of a health scare a couple months in and was supposed to go to maintenance... I found adding calories back very nerveracking.
I followed lose 1 lb a week until my calories got down to 1200 a day,
Then I switched to lose 1/2 lb a week.
For the last 5 lbs every time I lost a pound instead of letting MFP take away calories I added some so that I'd be eating close to maintenance by the time I got to my goal.
My range kept getting narrower and narrower until I got to maintenance.
My problem is I'm not at all consistent...
And trying to hit the same number every day is setting myself up for failure... It's just not how my brain works.
Anybody have any ideas for guidelines for a MAINTENANCE RANGE?
I had a very clear vision on my approach to the weight loss, but now I"m sort of at loss on what to do for maintenance?0 -

I'm playing around with options at the moment - I'm close to my goal but would like to lose a few more kilos, though very slowly.
My latest strategy is to pick a calorie amount and eat close to that each day regardless of exercise.
My maintenance cals are around 1800 and I've been maintaining OK if I eat close to that, but as I still want to create a small deficit, I decided to do that with exercise.
So, I'm trying to eat about 2000 cals every day and not go too far under or over. It means that I'm not referring to MFP net cals so much (which I think is a great concept and worked really well for me to lose weight, but I want something more stable now).
So far, so good, though that may be because I've taken up strength training too, so its hard to tell if i'm doing well because of the food or the exercise - probably both!0
